The retractable awning window style is the second-best ventilator of hot Hawaii air after a casement. While vinyl is typically the best window solution, this is one style where it is actually recommended to use an aluminum frame over vinyl - aluminum simply holds up a little better with the many moving parts involved. The awning window is retracted, or rolled up, in and out using an easy-to-handle crank. As with all of our windows, we offer this style in both vinyl and aluminum for your convenience. Note: Due to the retractable nature, this model is recommended in aluminum.
